To a large extent I would agree with your observation that their have been some interesting LBS projects but not have really captured large scale public awareness. I am hoping that we may have overcome the euphoria and disillusionment phases of the hype curve and be entering the period of sustained growth. With GPS units now becoming very mainstream, the recent launch of the N95 with in built GPS, and flat rate data tariffs, I certainly get the impression that many in the mobile industry are starting to look at this again. Whilst these only represent part of the location equation they may provide the platform on which other services may thrive. BTW I am running a trial of a location based blogging service (www.locoblog.com) if your are interested in giving it a try</description>
