		<description>Glad you&#039;ve picked this out nico.  It&#039;s a marvellous essay and very French exposition of urbanity.  That said, it is a bit frustrating how his &#039;ethno-methodology&#039; provides traces without any broader narrative.  His is a fractal city.  

The way in which I&#039;ve found it useful to apply his approach is to look at where &#039;soft&#039; things become &#039;hard&#039; i.e. where technologies [and with them practices, texts, institutions, actors] take shape. Great for design research.  Gripe: I do wish the paris: website was a little more extensible.  Flash.  Bah!</description>
