turing clamp dispatch
What are the USB/HDMI/ dongles in a world of AI agents, portable devices?
Something that someone suppresses language model and Near AGI kinetics? Or something you need to use when an active agentic needs service and it has been proven unwise to just turn them off as they can be quite unpredictable when they are turned back on, as if they resent being put to rest state or something.
So you need to use a Turing Clamp to suppress the agentic while you do the service, a bit like being put under when you go to have your wisdom teeth removed. You need to be put under so that you don't bite the dentist's hand off when they start poking around in your mouth.
Some of the concerns about particularly agentics running amok or AGI and such is that they may make decisions that are not aligned with human values or safety. The scary stories of AGI turning us all into paperclip makers or whatever. In this case, this speculative idea of a Turing Clamp implies the kinds of devices, tools, and practices that we might be thinking about today before agentics are rushed into use in our toasters and such.
