The Project

A friend asked if I'd be interested in reading a script and being a kind of futurist technical consultant on this action sci-fi thriller film directed by Brad Peyton. Basically he was looking to have someone help the art department conjure elements for the film based on the script, a sense of futures trends and so forth. Basically — Peyton and the Art Department had questions and wanted a basis for imagining things from the future of take-out coffee cups to how might a tire be changed on a self-driving vehicle and what's up with gravity and holographic displays, anyway? So, you know — of course I'm going to take the gig.

The Outcomes

A brilliant opportunnity and warmly recieved responses to the questions and a few conversations. All this was wrapped up in several versions of a 124 page deck of futures concepts.

In a bleak-sounding future, an A.I. soldier has determined that the only way to end war is to end humanity.
